This is sooo typical of the Norks. First, CNN reports that Ban Ki Moon is a shoe-in for the head UN job....and within hours, the jealous Norks announce that they'll explode a nuclear weapon.

Why the international media doesn't see this connection and call their (pyongyang's bluff) is beyond me.

Guessing they just don't quite understand the epic/gargantuan sibling rivalry that is the main propulsive element of Korean history...north and south...

Should the Norks blow a nuke, I wonder if Japan will return in kind...

Roh has been an unmitigated disaster. This nuke, should it exist, was paid for with "aid" being sent to the starving masses of the North.

And today's most hilarious headline of the day is....

North Korea complains about propaganda

Quote:

SEOUL, South Korea -
North Korea complained to its neighbor about anti-North propaganda during military talks Monday, a meeting that appeared to make little progress in thawing the chill in inter-Korean relations since the communist state's recent missile tests.

In 2004, the two Koreas reached a no-propaganda accord, officially ending decades of fierce rhetorical battles using leaflets, loudspeakers and radio broadcasts.

What?!?
No more "We have over 1 million cars now!" billboards?
No more battle of the biggest flags in the world?

I think this is a test to see how the new Japanese PM reacts.

...and Ban Ki Moon. But, I'm not worried. The fact that they say they are planning to test a device means that they may be ready to talk because there's no other way up from there but the test, and North Korea doesn't want to do that because it would prompt Japan and South Korea to test their own devices. They are also worried that China might also do something in response.
