I realize Korean copywriters think you can just say "Let's (noun)" and that's perfectly good English. Let's KTF. Let's Bravo. But you would think an English school, a major English school, would understand "speaking" is a gerund, a verbal noun, and needs an actual verb.

And this site spells community in a rather rude way:

I think it's supposed to be "Let's Speak-King" as two words. Kind of combining the two. I supposed it's supposed to mean "Let's speak like kings" or something like that. But yeah, pretty bad.

actually in this case I think it's clever and could see this being used in marketing back home - if there was a huge market for ESL lessons.

Agreed, with "ontheway." Konglish is acceptable, I guess, most of the time. When it is an English school, it looks bad.

It probably attracts attention anyway. I don't know if it matters much to the customers.

That is not the only example. There are misspellings on buses (of English academies) and things like that too.

I think the worst is when you are supposed to teach materials riddled with bad English.

yeah man, the teaching materials for E Bo Young's Talking Club are total shit

I don't even bother to look at the answer keys half the time any more, since it's obvious that whoever made them had no fucking idea what he was doing

And the "master level" tests are a joke, they're written entirely in konglish and they all have 2-5 questions that are complete nonsense and have no reasonable answers

Terrible. All the foreign teachers working for them and they don't get someone to proof their copy.

I once frequented a bar that asked me to proofread their menu. Good thing because they were offering rum and c ock and it wasn't that kind of place.

Didn't Pagoda have I Can Do as their slogan a couple of years ago?

I laughed out loud at that, too. Just curous, but do you think people discount jobs at places that advertise for employees with poor English? For example, if the job ad mentions a 400,000 won "housing fee" (when they mean allowance), or if the grammar and vocabulary are suss in a few other places?

Wondering if anyone else gets a bad vibe, or whether it just doesn't matter to most people.

That'll teach me to mock bad English in an Internet posting--I spelled "curious" wrong, and it looks like I've said that they want employees who have bad English as well, doesn't it? And the last sentence isn't really a sentence. I s uck.
