Anyone familiar with this outfit?

Good, bad, fugly?

Also - I can't seem to do a multi-word search with the forum's search feature. It returns a blank web page - any idea why?

try word "and" word "and" word
without the quotes
like "Oh and Sung and Sik"

It is a typical chain hakwon... check current references (and check with MORE THAN ONE) by e-mail when the boss isn't reading the mail or listening to the conversation over the teachers shoulder.

No, I'm afraid I tried that via the instructions on the search page. It only produces a blank screen. I just tried to search "Korea and Savvy" and it returned a white screen. The browser status line acknowelged that the screen was done loading as well - and yes, I tried multiple times and refreshed the page. It only seems to work when I use a single word.

I just tried and it worked fine... maybe it was overwhelmed (too many simultaneous searches from too many people) when you tried and the server locked up.

4 of 43... just to warm you up...

I don't know the particular school you are looking at. I did have a friend who worked for the one in North Suwon and he happily did 2 years there before returning home. There are some good ones. Don't let the negative stuff in the posts scare you off.

Check with current staff about CURRENT conditions. I do know however that it was company policy to NOT pay into medical and pension as recently as late 2005.

Medical insurance only became manditory in Jan 2006 but pension has been required by law since 1999.

Wasn't the OSS the precursor of the CIA? Weird choice.
