What are the 20s all about? I've heard they're about figuring out who you are, how you fit into this world etc. Any input? |

for me, getting as far away from home as possible, boozing too much, and then starting to regret it. i'm almost halfway though my twenties now, and i want the second half to be more about learning things, and getting some money behind me. the idea of being 30 scares me, so i'd at least like it to be accompanied by a slight amount of wealth to make it more enjoyable. |

I'm 26 and would say that my 20s were largely spent getting over my teenage years. |

Tons of sex, studying, working, not much else, some movie watching and sleeping, but less than you'd think.
Had sex thousands of times. Couldn't relate to what many guys say about women and sex as I was living with women throughout my twenties, and believe me if you haven't, sleeping in the same bed as your girlfriend every night does wonders for your sex life. Five girlfriends, the longest live-in five years, shortest one year.
Finished two year college and then went on to double major undergraduate degree then three years of grad school. Soooo much reading and writing and reflecting. The second priority in my twenties.
Part-time jobs to pay for school and girlfriend and general living. Who needs sleep? My general attitude was to work when I wasn't with my gal or studying. Sleep was largely optional, and usually shorrter in duration than my top priorities.
Saw quite a few films, again often with my honey, and the only thing other than exercise and the aforementioned I recall doing in my twenties.
I have mentioned here about 90% of what my twenties was about.
My thirties are so different I don't even feel like the same person. My life couldn't be any different. One example, it's been just over four years since my last girlfriend. That's right. Four years. In my twenties, four days was a rare break. My life is so different. Better in some ways, but I do sometimes feel like I should be a father and a husband in my thirties instead of a single teacher in a small strange country. |

I agree. The first part of my twenties was living in auto pilot from the mess my parents set me up for in my teens, the middle was the mid twenties crisis that snapped me out of it and I am happily living in my late 20's finally living life and excited for my thirties....... |

Me, too...and running from them...as in why did I have to be raised in a boring redneck hole? I had to make up for lost time and missing out on all the fun things kids from the city got to do. |
