With a 6-pack of McOjingeo Rings and a Cheongukjang Burger, this could be the impetus which would resuscitate the chain's fledgling breakfast-time business in Korea.

There is almost nothing more despicable to my stomach than the thought of a bite of McDonald's washed down with a shot of 20-cent soju. FREAKIN NASTY.
That's all. |

Is there a special reason why you used the word impetus? Cuz I'm starting to see that word all the damn time in korean english language publications and its driving me insane. |

When I'm writing, Tony, the little boy who lives in my mouth, tells me which words to use. That time he told me to use impetus. |

It made me wonder if "fledgling" is the proper word here.

a young bird that has just fledged.

McDonalds has been in Korea how long? Nearly 20 years now. Therefore the damn "breakfast-time business" is hardly "fledgling", it's been around since the very first McDonalds branch opened its doors. (No, no -- we're not talking about some special breakfast MENU, just the morning-time business of selling whatever the hell they sell.) So at what point do you stop using that word? Will it still be "fledgling" after 50 years? 100 years?
And even if the business were "fledgling", the presence of the word "resuscitate" clearly suggests that this breakfast-time business was once booming and now has faltered. That it has been around a while. That it is NOT FLEDGLING.
However you read it, "fledgling" was the wrong word to use. |

Blame mateomiguel? Why blame him?
You see, your previous comment...

leaves the question of "who is Tony?" ambiguous and open to different interpretations. It is perfectly reasonable for someone reading this comment to surmise that Tony = mateomiguel. Now you'll tell us that, no, the boy living in your mouth is Tony. If you'd been less ambiguous with your initial comment, we could avoid this confusion and you could avoid having to make subsequent clarifications. |

I agree. Flaccid was the right word. Or perhaps erratic tumescence.
Those, moreso, hit the nail on the head. |

A better word would have been flagging, or maybe imaginary.
