| It would be highly hypocritical for Canadian eslers in Korea who have antiamerican chips on their soldiers and who slag off the US every chance they get, to then go seek refuge and evacuation at an American army base. |

I guess when Canada rescued the seven American embassy workers in 1978 when Iran stormed the gates we shoulda just told them to flake off. I mean really!!! What responsibility did we have...the nerve of them for being our allies and all.

Recently declassified information suggests that the operation was actually American, using Canada as a cover. Sorry, no links, that's just what I heard. I'm Canadian by the way, so I've got no axe to grind. |

| The North Korean news agency has claimed that an underground test has been successfully conducted. I wonder what the reaction from Japan, South Korea, China, USA will be? |

Some of my students said that they will be leaving SK as soon as possible before hell breaks loose.
It's good idea to get your money exchanged into US$ before banks start closing down. |

I would think in the event of a second Korean war the US army would have slightly more pressing concerns than babysitting a load of ESL teachers (of any nationality).
It's a pickle realistically what options are avaliable invasion is out of the question North Korea has too big of an army.
If they attempt to destroy North Korea's nuclear facilities and weapons but fail to destroy them all (the have 8 bombs right?) North Korea could carryout a revenge attack....which wouldn't be good.

In the event of war, rest assured that one of the most important US military's job is to protect its citizens first. |
