Hi guys, I've been in Seoul for a couple weeks now and finding it very difficult to eat well on the go. Does anyone have suggestions on where I can buy healthy western food? There is lots of information about finding Doritos and Kraft Dinner, but is there anywhere I can find good quality, nutritious snacks, free of hydrogenated oils, high fructose corn syrup, made with organic ingredients, low carb stuff, sugar free granola/muesli, granola bars etc? This is what I'm looking for...thanks |

That can not be found "on the go". Imported western food and snack are usually junk food which is what the local palate is used to when needing a western food fix. What you are seeking is Sci-Fi. |

i think maybe what the poster means is something like a healthy granola bar. if i am right, check out costco, they have a few snack like things like that that aren't too bad. the prices are decent there as well. |

The basement/supermarket section of the Shinchon Hyundae Department store also has an obscenely overpriced selection of that crap. |

I've found granola bars at HomePlus on ocassion. They also have a good selection of nuts at HomePlus. I was in Myeong-dong on Sunday and found ridicuously overpriced muesli at Kosney and Lotte Department Store. You can get dried cranberries at Kim's Club. There's an organic foods store next to the cathedral in Myeong-dong. I've never been inside, so I don't know what they carry, but it might be worth checking out. When I want a healthy snack, though, I generally just stick to carrots, apples, low fat yogurt, etc., which you can find just about anywhere. |

Yatab E-Mart has a veritable mini-store of overpriced hippy crap.
300 or so grammes of muesli for 18K...Jar of peanut butter for 9K?absurd. |

Plenty of granola bars here, but are they healthy? Most are sugar-laden candy disguised as a "healthy snack."
You want healthy and "on the go?" Eat an apple. |

I like the fact that a lot of convenience stores sell boiled eggs. High protein, biodegradable packaging-- what else could you ask for? |

Costco sells Granola bars. if you haven't been to costco yet, its worth the time and effort. Fruit is always a good one for on the go snack |

Many granola bars are high in sugar and fat. I mostly just take them as a trail snack. |
