Walmart used to have an espresso machine for 40 bucks. I couldn't find one there, seems to have been offed. Has anyone seen a cheap espresso machine, electric? (I have one of those Italian, aluminium, screw-waist stovetop units but it's not the same).

I have one of those Walmart jobs, as well as the stovetop kind. I prefer the stovetop maker. It makes thicker, richer, espresso...and that mini-capuccino maker didn't get anywhere near to making a hot cup. It always came out lukewarm.

Also, i just got back from Vietnam. They grow quality beans!!!
I brought back 2kilos of various types of locally grown beans for 27bucks. Morning is heaven now.

That's very amusing about the insta coffee. I like how the personal packet wrapper tubes are used as a stir stick in the paper cup. Quality stuff.

About Insta-coffee. If you want to avoid the sugar it's the last thing that pours out of the personal serving wrapper tube, so hold back....damn convenient, huh?

Same boat, been looking for an espresso machine for a while now, followed the Walmart advice, no luck, can't even find a stove-top style one, nor did Google.co.kr help me. Guess it'll come from back home via parcel.

I had Vietnamese coffee once and it was one of the best cups I ever had and the method of brewing was entertaining. Wouldn't mind picking up the coffee, cream and tools needed to make my own.

Anyone ever had their coffee grounds read? Had a Bosnian-Serb woman wanting to read the grounds left in the bottom of my cup of coffee. I finished the coffee and she tipped the coffee cup upside down on the saucer to let the grounds slide down the sides before fortelling my future. She left for a minute and me being me, wanted to play a joke and quickly washed the cup out before she got back. She took the saucer from me and looked into the cup......booyyy was she PISSED!
My team and I left rather quickly as we tried to refrain from pissing off Bosnian-Serbs!
It was a good cup of coffee by the way. Well worth the rounds of an AK-47 flying over our heads(joke!)

For those of you who read Korean, what's the _health_ claim for the "well-being" coffee? Drinking some Taster's Choice Well Being now, and strangely, I don't feel any healthier than I did a few minutes ago before I mixed it up with the empty tube. Perhaps the empty tube-packet neutralizes the health benefits in some way...hmmm...
