Hey there, anyone have any advice on how to study an MA in TESOL whilst teaching here in Korea? There surely are threads which touch on this topic, but I'm sure many of you who hangout here who have MA's. excluding Mr. Mody, have plenty of information, experience and advice to offer.
Thanks

You probably will have a hard time working at hogwon. You will need time and lots of it. self-discipline is also very important. It is so difficult to study when you don't have a class to go to. |

Just two links, not saying they are at all the best, but are two I've used on and off for basic info.
www.degree.net <-- this one is headed by a guy named Bear who also writes books on the subject. Not saying I really agree with everything he says, but he has basic info down well.
www.degreeinfo.com <-- this is a discussion forum on the matter of undergraduate and graduate degrees, many completely online. The users on that site are sometimes highly opinionated and rather bigoted in their social ideologies -- which sometimes interferes with their educational ideas -- but at least it's a good point for standard questions. |

I teach about 20 hours per week and am taking 2 courses.
It's doable. At first I'd recommend taking only 1 course until you
get the hang of it.
Also, you might want to look for any nice libraries where you live so that you can do research for your papers. |
