I really need to go to a Dr. this weekend in attempt to acquire some sleeping pills (Ambien/Stillnox). I do realize all of the possible negative effects (and I'm aware of the miracle of melatonin), but the Korean OTC stuff makes me ill and I REALLY need to get some sleep.

I can only go on Saturday, and the International Clinic in Itaewon is booked. Does anyone know a dr./clinic in Bundang that might speak some English or is friendly to foreigners? I could probably get a Korean to accompany me if necessary. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!

There's a clinic, I'm pretty sure it's called "Seoul Nae gwa" (if you can read Korean), but I can check later to confirm, right at Sunae station, walking towards the sign that says "Lotte" in English. It's on the left, 3rd or 4th floor. There's a big pharmacy at ground level right next to it, maybe the same big building.

At a "Nae gwa" (internal medicine) I think you can get almost any prescription you need. I went to that one recently. The doctor I saw spoke English well.

Generally speaking, not much language is required to get a prescription anyway. You can write on paper what you need. You might need a bit of Korean with the receptionist though.

P.S> If you need to go to an int'l clinic, there's also one around Chamsil, closer to Olympic Park actually (not so far from Bundang) in a hospital called ASAN Medical Center. That clinic is good for a walk-in I think, usually. It's also a 10 minute walk from the subway station next to Chamsil on the green line (Seongnae station)

The sticky post above on this forum may help too:

Agreed, the OTC stuff is horrid and leaves me with a headache all day.

How about Chinese medicine as an option?
