hey Guys
I have a question and was hoping someone could help me. I quit my contract half way through, i have my release letter from my director and i have also secured a new job. im a little confused with what happens with my visa because my new boss seems to think that i dont need to go on a visa run because my visa doesnt expire until march 07, she thinks that i just need to send release letter to immigration to show i have changed jobs, I thought i need to have my visa cancelled and then reapply for visa....who is right? or are neither of us correct? also if i have to have it cancelled, who does it, me or my old director ? and does this happen at the immigration office ?
Any help is appreciated, thanks!!!! |

Your current visa expired with your old job.
You have 10 days from the release / termination from your oid job to leave the country.
If you are lucky you may be able to obtain a change in the status of your soujoun and save the visa run.
Either way, YOU have to go to the immigration office quickly and deal with them. Failure to do so couldl result in your being an illegal migrant and subject to fines, detention, deportation and possibly a ban on re-entry. |
