Long long long ago in 2003, for some forgotten reason all the foreigners started panicking about Seoul getting blown up. At that time, I posted a thread asking for submissions for a tourism poster that accurately reflected the geopolitical realities of South Korea, and in particular, the charms of Seoul, the so-called "Killbox".

The only submissions to the thread, contributed by a mysterious poster known only as denz, are now legendary within the foreign netization:





Sadly, the ravages of time have not been kind to these images, and only the thumbnails now remain.

As the children of 2006, it is our responsibility to continue the tradition of terrifying tourism promotions by using photoshop, MSpaint, or any other technique available. It is imperative that we keep the tradition alive. And in the spirit of this tradition, I offer this very modest and uncreative contribution:

That could be Seoul during Chuseok. Roads look to be in slightly better shape here though
