Here's my favorite song.
Bloodtype - Kino
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PNZYPqdtNnU
| Quote: |
It's warm here but the streets are anxious for our footprints
Stardust on our boots
Cozy armchair with a checkered blanket
But the trigger is being pulled off in time
Sunny day in blazing dreams
CHORUS
The blood type is on my sleeve
My number on my sleeve
Wish me good lock in the battle
Wish me not to remain here in this grass
I can pay but I do not want victory at any price
I do not want to put my foot on somebody's chest
I'd like to be with you, just stay with you
But the star high in the sky calls me: go!
CHORUS |

That reminds me of when I used to go to a lot of public ecstasy parties (there used to be a weekly party at an ice skating rink in Orlando) and there'd always be like one or two families there rolling together. FREAKIN BIZARRO. |
I'm not sure which is supposed to be the `FREAKIN BIZARRO' part of that story: Qinella figure skating on E; or him seeing a family of imaginary comic book immortals at a Florida ice rink. |

Well mine is a picture of me of course! as a youngster.
It's cut out from a larger family portrait (my sister Delirium is the one with the red hair sitting in front of me):
The artist who painted our portait is Jill Thompson. She rocks!

Like my first avatar ...
... my current one is BoA, an extremely talented singer/dancer who, alone, once accounted for over 75% of musical exports from Korea. I asked for people's opinions here where I presented ten potential new avatars. Can you watch this and not be impressed, not even a little bit? |

I voted for "5. Diva confidence," but just like every other `election' these days, the voting was rigged. The outcome was determined in advance. Once again the Templar-Gnomes of Zurich-Illuminati triumvirate chiselled away another piece of our freedom. Democracy is dead.

Current book I'm reading-and I usually stay away from non-fiction like hers. It's about how she and her roommate Shayna Weiss back in 1977 were biking across the USA and they were camped out in their tent and a whack job psycho rove over them with a truck and then took an axe to both of them. Both survived.
She writes about experience before and after the incidnet-although I recommend a dictionary while reading it-I have gone halfway through it, and so far she suspects someone-although the statute of limitations for anything but murder is 3 years, and she's investigating it 15 years afterwards.
The main suspect was known to drink a lot-but not Irish. |

Mods.
I would like this thread and the chilluns thread to be mad into stickies. The demands of my celebrity are wearing on me. Ahem.

I have to admit, his avatar is appealing even though I have no idea what it says (is that a language?) or symbolizes. His "colorful" thread is funny. Vote 1 for flotsam! |

Mine is a Paris Metro sign that I saw a picture of when I was in my early teens. Sparked my interest in Art Nouveau.
Last summer I had a couple of days to spend in Paris and I hunted this sign down so I could take a picture of it. There are only a few of these Guimard-designed signs, the rest are a bit plainer, but still pretty stylish. It's the Abbesses stop, near the steps at Montmarte and Sacre Coeur (the one in the movie Amelie)
Here's what it really looks like:
