After living here nearly a year, I have seen some things that seem downright similar. I am not trying to put anyone down, but I think I found a formula for a future English teacher in Korea! Wink

Now, for those who say HOW CAN YOU SAY 100 PERCENT OF THE CASES ARE LIKE THIS..blah blah blah.....

well, I am not saying all are like this, just the majority of people that I have seen. In fact you have seen them too! I guess that is why everyone thinks I am some fat girl, because most of you pass fat ugly girls here, and so that proves my point evenmore Laughing

PYRAMID OF NEEDS

1. A baby boy (or girl) is born. The baby is not as cute or pretty as the other children.

2. The baby grows into a child. The child is rejected by others in the class. The beautiful children shun him or her and this causes pain.

3. Middle school.......the enferno of pain. The pre-teen loves certain classmates, but those classmates reject him or her. Love seems like an impossible quest. By now the pre-teen is beginning to read books and ward off the rejection by developing some skill.

4. High School..........another enferno of rejection. The guy or gal has had it with mainstream society. The cool crowd has rejected him or her and there is intense anger. Feelings of rejection grow and grow. Soon the guy or gal is wishing things would change, 'Why o why am I not loved, why am I not popular?

5. University life. The same old thing. The guy or gal is looking for LOVE. Yes, they want the hot chicks, but the girls do not like them. The girls are after the cream of the crop! And so more rejection comes. A life of love is now beginning to disappear. Lonliness and anger flaw the personality of the now young adult. Anger. Rejection. Fear. Revenge. the only way they can find love is to go out with others who are not beautiful or have flawed personalities.

6. Korea. The young adult comes to Korea. HEY, there is acceptance! There are girls that call the average and below average teacher "handsome" or "beautiful"! Wow! Love can be found here!

7. The young adult begins to accept society here! They become a "special" superman or superwoman. They parade around like they are cool, attractive, after all, so and so did yell out "HANDSOME", I must be awesome now!

8. Marriage! The young adult finds "Love". A marriage has been born. The young adult has found a new home, KOREA, and the young adult with defend this new love with everything. DONT PUT MY NEW LOVE DOWN, they shout to those who say any negative comment. The Honeymoom stage has began! A utopia has formed. The mold has been cast, the new young adult has placed all of his or her eggs inside the basket of Korean society.

9. HONEYMOON STAGE......the young adult is happy! Things are going GREAT! Love, acceptance, financial freedom are found here in the land of Korea! A utiopia has been found! Beer, love, money, fame! Life cannot get any better than this!

10. Reality. In any relationship there are problems. In the new relationship, things are beginning to go wrong. There are communication problems. The man or woman is finding things hard. They cannot understand how their "perfect" wife or husband can act or think in such strange ways. The bubble from the rotten marsh is seen. Things are beginning to change. Utopia has cracked like a rotten egg.

11. OH NO!! I bought the farm! The guy or gal now is beginning to see that this place is not all that they thought it would be. AFter boring chusook meals, endless boring conversations, trying to ignore the discrimination, trying to ignore the big piles of spit on the road, the pushing, the stares, the comments, the person begins to realize that maybe a mistake was made. What is going to happen next? Probably divorce. Or..........the adult will live in a world where all they do is post on Daves Cafe. DAves becomes the emotional security where they can get their emotional daily needs. Dave becomes the triangle in their broken lives, an island where people can come together, and share lonliness together.

Alyssa has just discovered the core of my soul.

I am hurt. I am angry. But she did find the truth. she has found the truth and it hurts.

Now....what can I do? I must say she is fat, or stupid, I must get even I must............................because she was right about me.

such an elaborate fantasy that you've created in your mind... at least now we know who your posts are directed to. 'That guy' that you just described.

I haven't actually met anyone like that though, and I've been here almost 3 years.

For the record, I'm not married nor to I like cutsey "oppa" chicks.

Alyssa, your post just shows your maturity level. Very low indeed. Your a troll, probably a sock and probably a jaded loser (man) who can't get with a k-girl and is envious of someone who actually does have a good life.

Cheers,

Ha ha ha!

My point has been proven! Thank you people for proving I was right!
The same old guys who stay here day and night have responded so fast.

How do I know you know I was right..............
1. You sure read my post fast! I JUST POSTED IT AND ALREADY THESE RESPONSES!

2. You feel the need to defend yourself, AS FAST AS YOU CAN, like a guilty convict, or a teenager who has had his esteem crushed.

3. You MUST reply, call me names.

"I think I found a formula for a future English teacher in Korea!"

Surely your Tuesday-afternoon trolling can be more creative than this effort. Here's how it's done: Charisma Man.

Will we get another thesis on Canadians, backpacks and flags next? There's another horse that just hasn't been beaten enough.

So, you admit you're trolling. Congrats.
