Anyone know if you can have a ferret for a pet in South Korea? and where you could get one?

I live in Yongin, and I saw a couple yesterday. There were also squirrels, bearded dragons, chinchillas, pheasants... quite the menagerie. These animals were all full-grown though. Don't know where you could find young ones, and it might also be tough to get a vet who knows that kind of critter.

My students irritate me
My boss might berate me
The boys never date me, it's true.

But ferret, my furry ferret,
You brighten my day
For you are ever steadfast and true.

<-- A ferret.

That is the cutest ferret picture - and I loved the poem. Obviously a fellow ferret lover, they are great pets. We had a ferret in the states til she died and we loved her. The other issue that I will need to look into is getting a ferret back into the states, if we get one. Thanks for the posts.

Yes it is legal to have ferrets in the US - but not in California, which was where I happened to live, so yes I had an illegal ferret, but no one bothers much about that, the stores sell ferret stuff and our apartments allowed it.

Note - I did not bring the ferret into CA illegally, my sister did that, I just adopted it when she did not want it anymore. And they are GREAT pets.

I've seen a program on Korean tv where a family had a monkey and a racoon as a pet. I'd guess a ferrett would be ok.

Btw the picture of that ferrett is going to cause me nightmares!
