Are you lawfully employed in Korea? Under an E or F visa?

You are now officially in an overstay position. You may be subject to a fine, detention and deportation.

Realistically, you can go to the office at Omokyo and get it cleared up by getting an extension (with a lecture about your illegal position). You will also get a black mark in your immigration file.

If you have extended your contract you will need to take in your new contract, business registration, application form and fee along with your arc and passport.

If you did NOT extend your contract you will need to take your ARC, passport and hardcopy of your airticket out of Korea to get an extension.
Because you are in an illegal overstay position now "No airticket = no extension AND probable detention."

yup... changes things a bit... you still need to make the trip, the sooner the better and you will still get the lecture and black mark (which may come back to haunt you when you apply for your F5).

It is unlikely (but not unheard of) that you will face any punitive measures.

AND WHO SAID IT DOES.... trolls should learn to read.

No, an F5 doesn't expire (isn't that what permanent residence means - permanent?)

BUT his F2 does (did) and his overstay (late renewal) may come back to bite him in the ass when he applies for his F5.
