yo d00ds, I need to buy some tickets for my flight back to the US in early November

I put in my notice and everything, but should prolly get the tickets soon, since my boss needs to know my itinerary to report it to the immigration office

What's the best way to get tickets? Find a travel agent in person? website somewhere? What would you Korean ESL Gurus recommend?

thx

Your boss doesn't need to know anything.
All he has to report to immigration is your last day of work (unless of course he is buying your ticket).

If he is handing you a line about needing your itinerary then, ghod rest his black hearted soul, he wants to make sure you are NOT going to go to work for someone else (like his competition).

You can buy tickets from the airline (not always the cheapest) or a discounter like http://www.whypaymore.co.kr/ .They have an office in Seoul and they USUALLY have someone in the office who can speak English. The phone numbers are: 1577-1245 or 02-318-8585.

There are other travel agents listed in the travel agent sticky in the travel forum.

Thanks for the quick response, d00ds

I'd use the same method as got me here, but it was my boss buying a ticket directly from the airline like 3 days before I was due to fly over, so as you can imagine it was pricey, haha

glad to know my boss doesn't really need to know when I leave, too

I guess she might want to know so she can clear things up with my landlord here tho, who cares

Try the Singapore airlines website if you are flying back to to L.A./S.F./N.Y.

I've been here since March

I'm more or less settled in, but I'm sick of being here 'cuz all my friends are an hour and a half away in Seoul, and I've only managed to rustle up one date in the entirety of the last 6 1/2 months..

on the plus side my WoW guys are leeter than ever, I guess

looks like eslteam.com wasn't too bad

I called that place recommendedi n this thread, but they could barely speak english and made a reservation for the wrong place (fortunately I never paid for it or anything)

I guess it's my own fault for only being able to speak a little bit of Korean despite living in Korea, zoh well

For some reason, ever since I saw your posts last year with those goofy looking pictures, I thought you wouldn't last a year. Korea's not for everyone. Good luck

Yeah, to tell you the truth I'm sick of this place

The only things I like about it are the convenience of their convenience stores/PC bangs ("cyber cafe" really conjures up an image of a clean coffee shop/internet surfing place, so I dunno if the word fits) and the hotness of Korean women

I'll probably make a post about it before I go, but I pretty much hate everything else about Korea..
