I have been in contract negotiations with a school and I have the contract almost perfect, but I am wondering what happens next. Like if I decide to take the offer, does the school sign the contract first and then send it to me and I sign it? Or visa versa? Then what happens, I've never done this before...thanks for the help!

It gets signed. Doesn't matter who signs first. Usually done by fax if you are overseas. Go with the flow. They'll let you know what needs to be done.

It's time to start looking at flight schedules and the address of the nearest Korean consulate/embassy. The school will give you instructions, but you'll need to send your passport and photos to the consulate for the visa stamp. Then be ready to fly out within a few days.

Sorry to jump in on someone else's questions ... but I'm in the same boat. Waiting for my visa. Do I need to bring photos to the consulate? Or just the visa pin number and passport?

My director will buy the ticket, but do I find the flight? I haven't talked to him about that yet.

You need to take your confirmation number, passport type ohoto, visa application form, possibly your transcript (depending on which consulate (like Chicago) - ask ahead of time), passport and the visa fee.

when applying for your visa be sure to get a multiple reentry visa. you may have the opportunity to travel outside Korea. it costs less to get it now.
