| Politely tell recruiters and directors that you don't want to be at the hakwon for 8-9 hours per day? I keep telling them that I want a 6 hour block shift teaching 6 classes per day and they don't seem to understand. How should I tell them without sounding rude? It's not that I'm lazy, I just think that is too many hours. |

Don't be polite. I mean that. Also, there are so, sooooo many jobs out there (of that caliber) that you can just say no and the recruiter will probably have something else to show you right away... |

Dear rectum lickers,
I don't wish to work crap hours at a hagwon for adolf hitler. Furthermore, I've terminated all communications with you.
Sincerly,

I haven't seen any hogwan jobs that have six hour shifts. They all seem to be at least 7.5 or 8 hour shifts, and often even longer than that. Do you mean 6 hours of teaching plus an hour of prep and a dinner break?
About being polite, they probably won't interpret your requests as being rude because they expect you to have requests and make demands. So I don't think you should worry about that too much. It takes some getting used to, but you need to assert yourself with Korean recruiters and employers. Learn what you're entitled to, ask for what you want, and know that eventually someone will match/meet your needs.
But it wasn't easy for me at first either. |

I've seen a few, the problem is they want you to sign on for "teaching hours" and they have 40 min classes. B.S. |
