| Fresh off the plane as of Thursday and am eager to get out meet people and start my adventure. I am very flexible, love the outdoors and meeting people, traveling and the cultural scene. My home base is Pyeongtaek, but the weekends are mine to explore. Anyone up for an adventure? |

| Where the hell did you get that idea? I'm only looking for people to socialize with, travel, site see, ect. Nothing more. Is it that difficult to understand? |

Oh, ok.
So is it really that hard to meet people here. 131 people have looked at the message but only a few have written. What gives? I'm not looking to leech on or anything, just get out and about and meet people. I didn't realize it was that big of a deal. |

| Not to be an ass, but if you want to get out and about and meet people then I suggest turning off your computer and go out and try to meet people. (rather than complaining about the actions of people on Dave's) |

| This 1 person kinda wondered where you were and is not in Pyeongtaek and knows there are few reasons to venture to Gwangju for the weekend. Especially this weekend... |

| I actually spent all day wandering the area yesterday and am only on the computer now waiting for my ride. Being a home body is not my style. Seeing that you are in Seoul, I'm sure it is far easier to come across others vs. outside the city. People said the computer was a good way to go especially in a smaller city. You must not remember your first few days all that well or you wouldn't be so callous. |

Yeah, you're right. My apologies. Give it some time. I'm sure you'll come across some like-minded people.

That actually was pretty damm funny. Some of the comments that people post really crack me up.
I'm all good now. Although, I must admit those first two days of jet lag really sucked. Meeting people will come, I suppose I am just eager.
On a side note, how the heck can I find something to add to my mattress. I feel like I am sleeping on a freaking box spring. My neck and back are killing me. To bad I couldn't ship my bed here. I would certainly be on cloud nine.
Take care and keep up the wise ass comments, they are very humerous. |

| Thank goodness, I had co-workers that took care of my my first few days that have become my lifelong friends. (Boy, does that sound weird around here. But it's true.) |

Hey Tumbleweed,
Korea is a strange place when it comes to foreigners. I've been here for almost two years and foreigners sometimes don't seem to like each other much. I'm not sure what it is. I generally smile and nod at others but they usually seem like theyre locked in their heads. Granted I do that sometimes as well.
And most of the time after a couple of months, you have your friends or drinking buddies. Hopefully you're in a school with cool people. Otherwise I've found it's not easy to meet like-minded people.
The bed thing? Get used to it. Really. I dig it now. I complained too the first week or two, now I can't deal with most western style beds.
I hope you can meet some people you get along with. Makes it all that much easier. |
