i have a puppy shih tzu for sale. i bought him last weekend but have decided that i just don't have the time or space needed to take care of him like i thought i did. he is approximately 4 weeks old. he is perfectly healthy and received his first round of shots on Oct 14th. he is still in the stage that he will play for 15mins and then sleep for hours. the little thing is as cute as they come and definately an attention grabber. surprisingly, he is also very well mannered for being such a baby. i am only asking 100,000KW for him, which is half the asking price of the same ones in the pet stores. i will also give the buyer a brush, a bag of puppy food, some chew toys, puppy shampoo, and some pee pads. i have a few pics of him listed on this website... http://www.youloveit.com/en/exec/item/view/15/15/48/1/30200/061-3201946-0775340 (scroll down to the bottom of the page and there are 3 pics of the little guy). so if you are interested just shoot me an email at [email protected] or call/text my cell at 010-7264-1565. |

WHY????? Why would you buy a puppy, for one, when there are so many that need to be adopted here? And then decide that you are too busy for it? It breaks my heart when people like you do this. You make it sound like yesterday's garbage. Oh well, kind of attitude. I can say these things because I have adopted a needy dog and have just fostered another one that found a home the other night.
The only positive thing is that you are trying to find it a 'good' home, even though you should never have bought the dog in the first place. As for the money, a lesson should be learned here. |

wow thanks for that lecture. i was almost forgetting what it was like to have a mom give me her opinion and pass it off as the only right way of doing things. why don't you do us all a favor, and next time you have to vent, why don't you tell it to somone who actually cares what you think. the truth of the matter is that i am being responsible in the fact that i realized i cannot give the puppy the time and attention it wants right now. but hey, i guess you have never made a mistake like that so you wouldn't know what i am talking about. |

Hey, you know what? I don't care what you think about me at all. I just feel totally sorry for that little puppy that you decided to buy on a whim. I hope that you really do find him a home where he'll be loved and taken care of for the rest of his life. Next time, you might want to think things through before making a decision. |

ucfvgirl is absolutely right, and wasn't mean enough. You are a moron. Who the hell buys a dog and then a week later decides it's too much hassle? But you are right, you are being responisble in the fact that you are transfering the dog to someone with even a tad of intelligence. |

He had his reasons for getting the dog, and with the age of the puppy, it won't be cruel to relocate him. He won't know anything about it.

Wow! I can't believe what I'm reading? In a country where your local canine is just a likely to end up on your dinner table as in the pound, how can you berate someone for making a mistake? He admits to his mistake and has taken a responsible step towards making ammends. Would you prefer that he just drop it off at the animal shelter? Or would you rather that he leave it with his local butcher? Please, accord him some degree of respect for being a responsible pet owner, even if he is seeking to be a former pet owner.
It's too bad that you people couldn't direct some of your zeal for the protection and salvation of every stray and forlorn dog/cat/bird/fish on the Korean peninsula and put it to the use of those who could really use it. You live barely within a stone throw of one of the poorest, most destitute group of people in the world who are fighting for their lives in a desperate struggle against the forces of nature and their political leader, yet all you can do is respond with ad hominem attacks against a man who is wanting to get rid of his puppy because he knows it needs more time than he has or is willing to devote to it?
Korea opens its doors to the West and every anthropomorphizing pet-ophile (cheesy pun, I know) comes in to correct the serious injustices foolish people (or as one previous poster said "morons") are inflicting on our distant Animal kingdom relatives.
Man! Phew! I feel better! |

He's not a responsible pet owner at all. I won't say anything else, because either you realize you are wrong, or you are also a moron. No sweat off my back. I suggest, after than long, not well thought out attack, you do what you said yourself |

I guess a lot of the people who come to Korea are the hippy, 'I can save all puppy dogs' freaks who can't stand it when someone has to get rid of a dog. What do you think could have happened to this dog had he not got it in the first place? Maybe it would be sitting in a cage somewhere all alone, waiting for someone to save it from some horrid fate.
As I said before, the puppy is young which means it won't even know it's changed owners, so those who call it cruel, are pretty much wrong. Besides, this is Mack, he'll make sure it goes to a good home.
With all the other issues in the world right now, one little dog isn't the biggest drama. If you want to rid the world of evil, try killing the US administration who are single handedly trying to provoke the North into Nuclear war! |

you are much more a culprit of hyperbole than anyone else on this thread. I didn't say he was being cruel. I said he was a moron. A moron is someone who is not very bright. Someone who gets something like a living creature and decides it's too mcuh work one week later is obviously not very bright. It's not that hard to figure out. I am not attacking the moving of the puppy, just the OP, whom, as I have just shown, is a moron. You guys are making it into the drama, not me. And unlike you apparently, I am actually capable of attacking the OP for being a moron, explaining why, and still have enough brain power to debate about more pressing world concerns. Yes, amazingly, I can do all of those things! |

Maybe be if you knew the reasons why he got the puppy in the first place and why he has to get rid of it, then you'd refrain from calling him a moron. But then, you do tend to jump to conclusions. |

He should say those reasons, otherwise I am making conclusions on what he has posted. But then again, aren't you doing the exact same thing? But what possible reason could someone have to buy a living animal and get rid of it after a week? I can only think of a few major ones, and most people would have told us about these major events (like have to leave Korea, lost their job and can't support it, etc, and even those aren't really good enough in my opinion to get rid of it).
Do you know him, or you are his sock? Let me quote what he said...
Quote: |
i bought him last weekend but have decided that i just don't have the time or space needed to take care of him like i thought i did. |
Assuming he hasn't changed apartments, the space is just pure stupidity (or MORONic). As for the time, EVEN IF he had just accepted a new job in addition to the other one (or suddenly got a girlfriend, whatever), that would still make him irresponsible, as the second he bought the puppy, it became his responsibility. Accepting another job (or whatever reason he doesn't have the time for it) is irresponsible.
So, what are these reasons to get it and then get rid of it? Can you even provide some hypothetical ones? The actual ones would be better.
To be honest, I am so sick of you people in this profession. After working in the professional world, I have so much trouble dealing with the people in ESL (many arts grad, though I am not saying they are all like this) who are the most unprofessional asses in the world, whine about everything and wouldn't know what responsibility was if it bit them in the butt.
EDIT
Come on, prove me wrong then JLarter. Since you are concluding that I always jump to conclusions (nice character attack), you must know me well. If so, you should also know I am one of the few people on this board that when proven wrong, will admit it and apologize. I am not stupid enough to believe I am always right, and have been wrong on several occasions. I will admit it too, when SHOWN TO BE WRONG. |

yes i do know JLarter and he is not just my sock. he is trying to explain that there are always two sides to every story and some things just don't need to be explained on an open forum. my reasons are good for selling the puppy and that is all you need to know. he is perfectly healthy and needs some loving and caring parents. so, unless you have some suggestions or advise lets use this site for its intended purpose and not a place to judge people that you don't even know. in my opinion, calling someone a "moran" without knowing the full story is rather unprofessional. so instead of wasting your time calling people names, why don't you use the time constructively and start practicing what you preach. |

Well, he sent me a PM and explained it. I think I believe him so I will apologize openly. Still, this is a warning to the 99% of the other people who do this that people are sick of seeing people come to Korea, buy a cute little puppy or kitten, then have no idea what to do (and too cheap to bring them home) when they leave or something else comes up. I sometimes wonder what happens to all the animals that are posted on this forum but aren't claimed or given away by the time the poster has left Korea ??? And I found this extremely constructive use of my time, warning others not to do it.
As for the judging, people don't do enough of it nowadays. I don't feel bad in the least, even when shown to be wrong. We can't always know the full story, but not judging something that just seems wrong is usually much more harmful. Maybe the guy isn't raping the girl, I will probably still intervene though! |
