Hi all,
The Seoul Veggie Club will have its first November get-together on the 5th (a Sunday). If you're interested in coming, please vote in the poll above for your time preference -- lunch or dinner. And if you want, feel free to make a suggestion here as to what restaurant you think would be good. I'm feeling like going to the Country Life Buffet (link below) since I've never been, but am open to anything if people want to to do something else.
Peace!

This is a veggie buffet restaurant its costs around 9,000W(not 15,000-25,000 like above link says) and they also sell bread and other things like veggie sausages.
It's good value and food is pretty good IMO! |

Yeah, sounds good to me. I haven't been there in a long time, but I was gonna check it out last Saturday - I got off at the Sinsa station and went right up to the door before being reminded by the sign that they're always closed on Saturdays (like all the SDA places...)
If it looks like we'll get more than ten people it might be a good idea to call ahead to let them know to make a bit more food (not that I'm a big eater or anything...) and reserve a table. |

Lunch time would be divine on the 5th!
The buffet sounds good.
Has anyone been to the Egyptian restaurant in Itaewon called Pharoah's? (near What the Book bookstore). I haven't been there yet, and am unsure as to how big it is, but they might have some tasty falafel for a future veggie rendez-vous! |

Just a friendly bump so people know about this, and to remind you that it looks like dinner is winning in a landslide so if you feel strongly about lunch well... vote early, vote often! |

I've been to Pharoah's twice (but not recently) It is really very small, and it's apparently just a one man operation (he even has to set plates and serve...) I think Ali Baba's is a better Egyptian restaurant overall with very good falafels, but they give small portions... I also like Pita Time's hummous wraps (but not their falafels so much...) |

Another friendly bump... so far only one person has voted for lunch so it looks like dinner. If you really prefer dinner you'd better vote and then make a friend come too.. |

I think their dinner hours begin at 5pm (instead of the usual 6) For those that live a couple hours away from Seoul like me earlier dinner on a Sunday is usually better ...
I know it's the Sinsa station (Orange line) but I forget whether it's exit 1 or exit 2 that you take (and it's a little tricky to find for firstimers...)
Remember that it's not this week, but daum ju Sunday, November 5.
(Anyone who'd like to be reminded of veggie club events by email should PM "hater depot" with their email address...) |

I've been there half-a-dozen times or so. I can't resist those falafels. The owner does have some staff on hand, and is open until ridiculously late. It's not big enough to hold more than 4 small groups though, so unless we booked ahead we wouldn't be able to meet there. |

Maybe we can book a gathering there for 11pm some Saturday night so we can all enjoy the "Hooker Hill" ambience at its peak ... |

오케이, dinner on the 5th at the Country Life Buffet it is.
From the map on the website it looks like we should meet at Sinsa Station. Can someone who's been there post more detailed directions? |

Get out at Sinsa station exit 3 and go down small road on left of Starbucks.
It's on the 2nd floor of the 2nd building on the right. |
