i got one new tire for my scooter. 30,000 won.

granted, it's a scooter, with much smaller tires. but i have a feeling that you're right about the price being too high.

Sounds pretty steep, dude. How many shops have you been to? If it's only one, chances are the guy is trying to push top-of-the-line gear on you. Bounce around (try Toegyero) and see if you can talk the guys down.

200 bucks for two sounds pretty reasonable. A magna isn't exactly a bike that needs x-rated tyres so count yourself lucky. Most things that are black and round will fit that one. If you had a Jap bike, you would be looking at around 200 bucks for ONE tyre, unless you are looking at something made in China. You pay for what you get in tyres.

I have a 250R Comet. It cost me about 200,000won for a new set of Shinko's.

This time around I put on Maxxis 'Super-maxx' tires from Taiwan. They are about the same price, but offer 10 times the traction.

A hundred and ten bucks for the fat, back tire of my 750 Virago. For bumpy, off-road tires for my enduro bike it's 90 bucks for the back, 70 for the front.
