I saw the aftermath of a girl falling several stories in a department store. I still don't know how it happened, but the stuff coming out of her head looked like a can of Campbell's tomato soup before you add water.

How about dead cats? I've seen 2 or 3 of those.

Korea had the highest rate of road accident deaths per capita a few years ago, but that's slightly improved (driving skills haven't improved much...more people wear seatbelts)...but Korean roads are still dangerous (and they don't even have to worry about hitting wildlife of whiteouts in the winter).

I've seen blood spattered on the sidewalks and crosswalks too many times to count. I've had to administer first aid 3 times. I've even seen a car hit a pedestrian (the car was going about 30km/h...cool movie stuntman flip over the car (I can say that because, surprisingly, nobody was hurt. It probably helped that the pedestrian was drunk out of his mind).

Ten years of driving during Canadian winters before coming to Korea, sometimes driving over 1000km in a week in the middle of winter, and nothing. Not one fender bender. But in Korea, I've been in a few car accidents here and have had too many close calls to count (the other driver always does stupid stuff like running the red light or slamming on the brakes on an icy road). Heck, I've been hit by car while crossing the road (moron came turning around a corner without doing a stop...instead of braking, he honked). Lucky for me, only my elbow was hit...and I was wearing a thick leather jacket.

Ive seen on two separate occassions the aftermath of a motorcycle crash....a real shame the victims were both young lads who were delivering the metal boxes of Chinese food.

Motorcycle accidents must be very frequent here and although a lot of the riders don't help themselves by their relutance to wear helmets it's true that no matter whose fault the accident is the person on the bike is going to come off worse....I often worry about friends who ride scooters who have had several near misses with the drunken idiots that pass for bus drivers in Seoul. You wouldn't get me on a bike in this city.

Coming out of bars in Itaewon around dawn I have seen some I would classify as "undead".

my first year in Korea I was on a bus that ran over a taxi, literally. It was the taxis fault and both the driver and the passenger didn't make it.

Exactly in the middle of the road, just ahead of Gangnam, I think near Shinsa station I think... From the bus, I saw a woman probably dead. I saw a restaurant's metal box and delivery vehicle near by. Only horrified people at the sight were me and my friend - the only wekuks around!
Taxis, public buses and the delivery guys are the most dangerous in Korea!

I can't believe I forgot this: My ex-girlfriend was hit by a motorcycle (knocked out cold, two blackeyes) while she was walking on the sidewalk.

I "play" with dead bodies every week. Mind you I am studying anatomy at the moment. They are a little more cleaned up than the sidewalk variety. However I did used to work with the cops and have seen plenty of messy ones as well.
