It's no surprise that the happiest Daves Warriors are tall. Helps if you can speak a bit of korean too, but tall people are generally the best and thus learn Korean anyway, because they can, because it comes naturally to them, because of confidence.

I used to think these kinds of Spin posts were in jest. No longer.
Here's a story:
Once upon a time, there was a happy, confident, tall Dave's poster who sat around and drowned himself in soju one day. Then he sent a PM.
The end. |

Well I love being tall, and have to say that I wouldn't change it for the world. I was a tiny bit nervous before I came here, as I thought that maybe I would dwarf everybody, but happily that simply wasn't the case. Sure, Korean people tend to be a bit surprised when they see me, and make that strange "Ouuugghh" groaning sound, but I figure that even if I were not tall I would still be stared and groaned at anyway (numerous conversations with many average-height foreigners have indeed confirmed this).
When they (Koreans - eg students, locals etc) point out mt height by saying "Oooh! Very tall!" I do one of two things depending on my mood. I will either smile, laugh and say "yes!", or say "아니... you small!"
The only slightly disconcerting thing I have experienced here is being in an elevator with Korean people. It does fel a bit like the scene from Lost in Translation....
On the whole though, I have to say that its all good. When I saw DJ Doc I was able to stand at the back and see everything that was going on on the stage. I've been recognised a few times when I've been out, most recently by Qinella and billybrobby last Friday (sorry guys, but I was wasted). And yes, as I've gotten older and more confident, I would say that being tall has increased my pulling potential! |

It's Spin, thanks.
Even the worst, lowest metaphysical mumbo-jumbo in the world - Christianity - calls for the forgiveness of those who have screwed-up and are genuinely remorseful.
Morally, red-Spin is 2000 years out of date. |

Your pandering promotes you to Spin. You live in Korea, so you are certainly not Spin. But with more support for my view of the world, you will soon again be Spin. I suggest you go to the writer's thread and say something nasty about Kerouac. |
