You know something? You're a mean little spoilsport when you want to be.

And it's l i m e, hang it all. Though I've been thinking of switching to a twist of frog. Wink

Aw, I just know you too well, I guess. You've got to be sneakier, and get nasty at a time of day where we know you tend to write.. delete.. write.. delete..

"Take the spelling quizzes below to find out how bad of a speller you really are."

Someone needs to spend a little more time on grammar, and a little less on spelling...

The person who wrote that test doesn't even know how to spell. Telling me that "judgement" and "labelled" are wrong. What a cretin. What a waste of time.

I remember reading a theory/study once that seeing a word spelt wrong once would lead you to never be absolutely sure of the spelling again. Has anyone else heard of that?

If that's the case then the test is not the best setup to test spelling. Dictation style would give a much more accurate result.

Why are we relying on a test that misspells its report back to us? (Mispelled words average: XX)

'Course, it was fun to ace it, but still. (Yeah, I was alerted by this thread to its preference for judgment, which I hate but became aware of some years ago.)
