Hi guys,
I'm looking for a dresser and possibly a wardrobe for my apartment. It's a small place, but the school didn't provide any furniture for clothing storage and right now I'm living out of a suitcase. If anyone has a dresser or wardrobe they want to sell and you're located in Seoul let me know. I'm in Mokdong. thanks

If you have a Korean friend, try to order this:
http://www.gmarket.co.kr/challenge/neo_goods/goods.asp?goodscode=105604417&pos_shop_cd=SH&pos_class_cd=111111111&pos_class_kind=T&keyword_order=%BF%CA%C0%E5

I paid 220,000 for 3 sections. I got 2 of them with the drawers, and 1 section on the left. There is a 30,000 won delivery fee for 1 piece, plus 10,000 for each additional. They are quite sturdy, and most people are satisfied with them (if you can read the korean comments at the bottom)

There is a store next to Samgakji Station (right past the GS Ji and new Worldmark Tower apts) that sells new and used furniture. Most furniture is actually in the building in back of the one with the sign for the Yongsan Furniture Store. New dressers are 140,000 won and used ones are cheaper. There is a 5,000 won delivery fee.

It is the end of the month. Simply walk through the nearest high-rise apartment complex. You will see several of them put out for the trash. Usually there is nothing wrong with them other than a few scratches.

If they are tagged for the garbage then they are free for the taking.

Lots of new teachers have furnished their apartments that way.

Alternatively, you can wait 3 more days and buy the SAME item at the local 2nd hand store.
