In the context of the last 3 pages of this thread i would have thought the answer was fairly obvious.

BINGO! Another reason why English is crap - unnecessary adverbs.

Something is either obvious or it's not. See also 'exactly the same', 'absolutely ingenious', 'uniquely original', 'completely destroyed'.

I personally hate adverbs. They're totally unnecessary.

absolutely. most definitely.

Reminds me of RTeacher and Sanskrit. It's all bunkum.

He has NOT said this, has he? That turkey wouldn't know Sanskrit from a sand castle.

He did say it here, half way down the page. Posted an article claiming "Well, there's linguistic proof - Sanskrit is the world's oldest language, and it's also the most advanced language - more sophisticated than Greek or Hebrew."

Well thanks for the ammunition guys. My english speaking co teacher said she is going to research why Hanguel is more developed than English and get back to me on thursday. Junior, can you jot down a quick 1500-2000 word essay for me to hit her back with, not too emotive please and remember we are guests in this country so don't try to tie in condemnation of women beaters, spitting and shocking drivers, cheers.

Stay tuned for next weeks exciting installment "Why korean girls are more developed than western girls", i'm thinking i should be able to handle this one on my own.

(see bold)

A very odd enquiry that. Does she intend to research why Hangeul, written Korean, is more developed than the Roman Alphabet or why Korean is more developed than English?

I agree, very odd. I'm not sure how he is going to go about comparing an alphabet with a language. And considering English has a 1400 year recorded history and the Hangul alphabet has a 600 year history, I'm pretty sure I know which is going to win the most developed award.

A Korean who teaches english, told me in her bad english that Korean is superior to english because Korean's say Mong Mong. Why, because Mong Mong perfectly reflects the sound a barking dog makes, whilst woof woof is inaccurate. This is true I kid you not!.

Anybody who has done Kor-Eng translation knows that the English version always ends up requiring more space than the Korean.

투자금액 및 예산
Amount of investment and budget
주요 사업투자계획
Main project investment plans
과제명
Subject
총개발기간
Total period of development

Etc. etc.

I love english. Its my second language. Its still at times but I find it that anywhere you go in the world some can speak it and its understandable.

I love the precision of the language. You just can't confused about who or what your talking about. Its also very expressive.. I love the fact that english has so many adjectives.. I like the fact I don't need to say the same thing to "How are you?" all the time (I'm fine thank you and you).. I can say I'm terrible, horrible, angry, peeved, pissed, amused. What ever you want to say you say.

I'm not gone say which language is better because I couldn't care less.
