That everyone in Korea seems to have a cold right now?

All ten of the kids I teach have colds.

The director has a cold.

Her husband has a cold.

The guy who runs the store across the street has a cold.

Half the people I saw today had colds...

I mean... seriously now.

I feel great, that's what's weird. Normally if anyone has a cold it's me.

I mean granted I'm a total newbie... maybe this is some sort of perputual cold syndrome I'm just not aware of.

I'm popping vitamin c like it's crack. I'm going to end up being a compulsive hand-washer.

You've never heard of the cold season? Or flu season?

Well, yes, I've heard of the cold and flu season... but it normally starts later in the year where I'm from... and even during the cold and flu season it's not EVERYONE.

That's very clever.

Come up with it all by yourself?

The arrogance on this board is quite shocking at times. Give the poster a break. There is no need for all this sarcasm etc. Instead of posting sarcasm, please try to get a life.

Thank you so much for not being an asshole.

It's refreshing.

My point was that literally EVERYONE I've seen or talked to in the last few days has had what I assume is a cold... but I didn't know if maybe it was some sort of allergy thing, or if people were using heaters that had been in storage and were smoking or something.

Smile

Many people have problems with colds etc over here, but it could be due to a number of reasons. Often, it's not actually a cold, but instead an allergy or just simply a change of conditions. Too much or too little humidity can cause problems with sinuses, and therefore a humidifier or de-humidifier might be useful depending on where you live. If you do get a humidifier, beware of mosquitoes as they like moisture. Fortunately, winter isn't too far away and so that should not be a problem for much longer.

Cool.

Thanks. I may have to invest in a humidifier since I have sinus problems. Good to know.

*I* laughed, but then again I'm also the meanie who makes fun of folks who don't understand why we need humidifiers when it's dry and dehumidifiers when it's humid.

Some people would post about their amazing stomach lint if you encourage them.

look around- Koreans weigh about 90 lbs each. They're not exactly built for cold weather- like us HEARTY Americans. Wink
