Mixing Aotearoa dub and bass with hip-hop styles, Rhombus flows from a collaboration between producers Simon Rycroft and Thomas Voyce and microphone master Imon Star.

The debut album 'Bass Player' also features the Emcee vocal talents of MC Mana, Mc Rizzla (aka. Tiki from Salmonella Dub), MC Antsman & the gorgeous vocals of Wellington based diva, Lotus.

Rhombus has been pretty quiet recently. They released a second album (I think) but it was so quiet that I can't be sure.
Kora is another good welly band that's on the up and up.
To be honest, I keep having fantasies of shapeshifter (my absolute favourite NZ group) coming over to Korea to play. That would be absolute heaven to me.

Pitch Black sucked? That's a first. When I say them at "The Gathering" in 98 or 99 ( yeah, that's what happens when you're a long time waster! ) they were supberb. What happened? I agree that is waaaaaaaaaaaay too early to close down a dance gig. You're sending hundreds of tweaked out people into the downtown area where they are totally not in the right frame of mind to deal with the booze crowd!

Kia Ora ano, (FOR THE AMERICANS IT MEANS, "HELLO AGAIN")

Anyway just sitting here still in Aotearoa.

I did the nobel thing and tried to get me a job here in kiwiland. It hasn't worked. So I'm going back to the backup plan I'm trying to come to korea.

They give me line like, "you have technical knowledge, however you do not have the experience,"

Reply: "Give me a job and I will!"

I am really unsure about the up and coming changes to the student loans repayment scheme. Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

anyway know of any jobs going?

Naku Noa,

Maoriboy

Kia Ora.

Isn't it annoying when they say that.. that you are great technically and academically but we can't hire you because you have no experience.

I went through that when I finished uni, too. Like.. hello, if you don't give me a job, how the hell am I going to get the experience you guys all want?! We are not all born with experience you know!!!

Anyway, I hope you get a job in Korea if that's what you really want.

(I only just saw this thread and would have said hello earlier... our former vicar was a NZder and he taught us some Maori!).
