Don "t know how long it's been in existence, but I find wikiHow to be a great site, and much more practical than it's wikipedia counterpart. They have easy to use templates for writing your own "how to.." articles, as well.
A fun site to browse around in.

eventhough there is room for abuse, what new stuff hasn't been abused.
