Hey, help me out, I'm not internetspeak savvy. What are Trolls and Socks....?
I think a troll is someone who's just looking to wind people up...?
I think a sock is like an alias or something...?
Not sure though really...

I'm no sockologist...
This reminded me of a conversation I had with my Halla students back in 1998 about socks and the intrigue behind being anon and across oceans etc. on the internet ...
One guy, in my class...admits to everyone that he is an online troll acting like a lonely k girl and lures all these K guys into conversations about sex and whatever. Totally hillarious, the whole class was laughing pretty hard. I can't believe I remembered that after over seven years. lol..the funny part was that he was really great at acting like a woman when he told his story. |
