Avoid the net-based real estate places. Go to the neighborhood you have in mind, take a Korean friend along to help you out, and start hiking around. Don't settle until you find what you had in mind or a reasonably close alternative. Hit up all the 'boktokbang' (real estate agents). Even if they are across the street from one another, they'll have different properties. I'd say give yourself a month of weekends to really find something worthwhile.
And be ready to say, 'I'll take it,' as soon as you see what you want. It probably won't be there the next day, or even a few hours later, for that matter. Speed counts. Check all the paper work on the building and then sign away. |
