So the verdict that no one had ever expected is finally out. Saddam Hussein has been sentenced to death. What a shame. The real criminal is Bush. Of course, he's on the winning side (no thanks to his astounding intellect), and the winners always write the history texts don't they!

The whole episode has been a vulgar farce from the start. What are we pushing now...3/4 of a million dead Iraqi's?? 3000 dead americans. Much more and Iraq will deserve its own Holocaust museum, and a mention in every daily newspaper, magazine, periodical, and Hollywood movie, ad infinitum. Oops...that's already been taken care of hasn't it.

I'd say he had a pretty full life. He had his opportunities. Most people don't.

Didn't you ever do math? One American life = 200 Iraqi lives.

Well, not defending Bush in any way, but Saddam deserves it no matter how he was brought to trial.

Sweet.

As for the OP: poorly written and kind of moronic, but bascially true at the core, all except for that "It's a shame line." Sad how your basic troll always slips by accusing whatever he doesn't like of doing something bad (usually the monolith of "koreans" on this board) but then screws himself over by suggesting sympathy for someone who's done the same or worse. Idiocy or conscious effort to annoy? You decide. But in either case, I just wish it were done effectively once in a while.

Inelegant. Simply inelegant.

I dislike Bush, but nasty dictator that deserves death, he's not (just give them a few more laws passed in secret). So I dont think this is a good comparison.

Impeachment on the other hand...

It's terrible how American soldiers line women and children up in front of ditches, shoot them row by row and throw their live babies in with them.

I can't accept the concentration camps that they gas all those Iraqis in.

While I disagree with the war, most of the killings are done by their own neighbors. A collective suicide museum may be more appropriate.

Nothing like a public execution of a mass murdering dictator.

Anyone remember Samuel Doe of Liberia? The first leader whos torture and execution was videotaped and widely circulated.Unfortunately his replacement was worse. And then there was Caeucescu.

Saddam's execution should have quite a stabilising effect on middle eastern affairs.

I, for one, will welcome the stability that is sure to flow from his demise.

Yeah, because as we have seen Saddam has been a rallying point for the "insurgents". They have been blowing things up and taking hostages the name of him being set free. Haven't they? So of course his death will take away their reason to ... what is it insurgents do ... insurge? ...continue their mayhem in his name. Rolling Eyes

WOw, I can't believe how wrong this is.
Now, he means nothing to them. Do you hear them shouting out Saddam!!!!! No, but when you kill him, he will become a martyr to all the wackos out there and be more of a threat dead and executed than alive and rotting in a prison cell.
