i think i have about 1.500 euros to pay for a 5 year program.
Thanks to the social system in Belgium that makes studying practically FREE!!!
And that for a top 100 university !!!! |

| I have nothing but my brother who is smarter than me has about $60,000 now I think. But he has a double major and a masters now and will have a Ph.D in a bit so once he becomes a snazzy professor (splicing plant genes and whatnot) there should be no problem paying off the cumulative loans. |

| I had about 11 000 cad. and paid it off easily during my first 6 months in Korea in 2003. I went to grad school and came away with about 16 000 cad. and am now back in Korea doing round two. Hopefully it will be done in 10 months or less. |

Pay attention you. I am attending currently. And yes, I will be taking summer courses.
The army paid for my undergrad. But I still worked full time for the first three years. Been working since I was 14, you see.
And once, my mom made me stay in my room for an hour, just for hitting my brother. An hour. |

| When you all did your repayments... did you save a lump sum back home and then pay it off at the end. Or did you make giant payments every month? |

| Started with about $22500 Cdn, and I'm now down to something like $7500, so I hope that after this contract I should be free and clear. At first I was just making my basic monthly payments and putting the rest of my money into my savings, but once I realized that about a quarter of each loan payment was interest, I got pissed off and figured I could save myself a LOT more money in the long run by putting all my extra money into the loan. |

had about $43,000 in loans (undergrad & grad school). Killed all off in three and half years. Monthly payments of $1000 while keeping myself afloat with privates. debt free = private free....yes!!!!

did the same thing since the interest rate of loan was higher than that of the savings account. |

| This is my first post---I am curious: Will I be able to have fun on the weekends and travel and still save some money? I'll be making 2.0 in Bundang. I know that this is a pretty generic question, but I'd love any additional insight that I haven't already read about on this site. I'm about $20000 USD deep. I arrive at the end of December. |

I reckon if you live modestly, dont blow it all on booze/western food, get a couple of P's, (the forbidden word) you could pay that off in 2 years. I paid off double that in 3 years.
Goodluck. |

I just took on 50 grand more this year. For just one year. With a grant as well. Fantastic.
The subsequent years of the program will be free, but DAMN, it's just too expensive. |
What subject are you studying? |

It would have to be debt management and the social implications. |
