So she was wrong about whether or not Canada sent troops to Vietnam. Big deal? I don't see how that detracted at all from the point she was trying to make, which was that Canada has historically been an ally of the US but recently doesn't seem to be. I don't agree with that opinion of hers, but that guy making a big issue about the Vietnam thing was a cheap shot.

He didn't make a big issue out of it. He simpy corrected her. She made the big issue out if it (Are you sure? I think you're wrong. I'm going t look that up)

Yeah that's true. But that clip was from his show, replaying it like it was a major victory, right? ...

Gee, really? I would have sworn that Canadian soldiers were in Afghanistan.

Gee really? I would have sworn I said I didn't agree with her point. RIGHT AFTER THE PART YOU BOLDED. Rolling Eyes

Are you suggesting that the host of that show goes by the handle 'spacepirate777' on YouTube? That's who uploaded it.

Now, had that guy gone around wearing a t-shirt that said 'I bitch-slapped Ann Coulter!', then I think you would have a point.

What his nuts does seem a bit smug when he corrects her.

But that's okay. She is smug, all the time.

Every time touchy-feely-multi-culti lefties show public outrage at Coulter, they are giving her precisely what she is trying to extract from them - controversy and publicity. She is in it for the money. Perhaps somebody reading this thread will now go out and buy her latest book out of the interest created here. Another couple of bucks in her pocket thanks to indignant liberals allowing her to play them for suckers. Ignore her.

Live by the sword, die by the sword. Coulter revels in her "factual" knowledge; it's nice to see her eff-up.

And, no, he wasn't making a big deal about it, just correcting her.

I think the networks are doing this very well without my help.

Are you suggesting that spacepirate777 was the one who edited the video, being sure to frame that segment with smarmy voice-over?

See above. There is more to the show than just him interviewing her, you know.

I'm really surprised how difficult it is for some of you to understand my point. I guess you hate Ann Coulter so much, you can't even fathom the thought of treating her fairly. Just dying to see her get caught in a web. I guess because she's usually so quick and on her game that she makes one petty mistake and you all go wild? Are you the same people who stood up and gave a round of applause in the theater after watching Fahrenheit 9/11? Btw, I truly dislike that woman and think she does nothing but damage political discourse in the US. I wish she would retire.

I don't see anyone disagreeing with her point. It's true. Historically, Canada has sided with the US quite often, and with good reason. Is that such a contentious issue?

Did you see her "speech" at John Hopkins? Factual point after factual point, it was nauseating! Finally, her "facts" didn't back her up. She's so untouchable in her own mind, it was satisfying to see her eff up - and not get back to the 5th Estate (the name of the Canadian tv program) with a simple "you were right", which would have at least made me respect her a little more.

Of all the women to have the hots for, Coulter definitely isn't one of them. She basically represents all that is potentially evil in western women.

Confused ... don't suppose it's her well-developed Adam's apple that turns you on is it?

Treat her fairly? I think she gave up the right to expect that a long time ago with the way she plays the game. And yes I do think it`s significant that she didn`t know this basic fact of history. She is a political pundit, and therefore she is supposed to be deeply familiar with the facts of political history at least as far back as the 20th century. You have to be highly informed to be credible, otherwise any old person could get up and be a political commentator.

I think what she does represents the end of communication. She seems so full of rage and hatred and hatred and bigotry that its positively scarey...
