There is another thread going about who gets the money at a wedding and it reminded me about the fun times I've had a Korean friends' weddings. There are quite a few people on here married to Koreans and I've never been to one of those weddings. So, I'm left wondering...
Which, if any, sex games (aka Humiliate the Bride games) were played at the private reception dinner at your weddings. If no one wants to divulge that, maybe some would like to share their stories about the activities at 'conservative' Korean weddings.
Some of the ones I've seen:
a) the MC breaks an egg into a glass and the groom takes the egg (unbroken yolk) in his mouth and passes it to the bride. She gets accolades if she can spit the egg out with the yolk still unbroken.
b) the bride and groom take turns pushing a whole egg around under the shirt/blouse of the other one
c) licking melted chocolate off the ear lobe of the other
d) my personal favorite: Stringing some apples and a banana on a rope and tieing it around the groom's waist. The bride gets to kneel in front of him and take a bite of each apple before peeling the banana with her teeth and eating it.
PS: My policy: If I'm invited to a wedding--just the wedding--I hand over W15,000-W30,000 at the office and skip the boring ceremony. If I'm invited to the private reception, then I bust out the good duds, hand over W50,000 and kick back for a nice dinner and laughs.

porn is SO '90's. Go for the live stuff. (If you live in an apt near a university, just open your window on Mondays...the couples who had to go home for the weekend give live shows all day.) |

No kidding. I live in an apartment block, little three story, 12-15 unit buildings packed together. Last week, I had to listen through two or three hours of some chick giving up her cherry. It got to where I wanted to just scream out the window, "JUST GIVE IT UP ALREADY!!!" I surprised a drunk couple in the hallway on my way home at 4 am on saturday. He had a rubber in his hand, and his pants clutched up around his waist. I think he was getting ready to hide drugs in his butt... |

My wife and I did the banana thing at our wedding, and I was very witty, loudly demanding that she swallow, but we didn't have the apples...is there some metaphor for our marriage in there somewhere?
We also did the thing under the shirt, I can't remember what it was but it was much smaller and harder to get around than an egg. My wit continued with talking about all the obstacles in the way.
I didn't actually know about this reception thing until the day of the wedding and, although I got into at the time as you can see, it was very childish for a couple that had already been living together for 3 years. It was like playing spin the bottle...but 10 years later than most Westeners. And because I wasn't involved in the arrangements, then I didn't like the bar much, which just had cheap Korean beer (which I don't drink). It was all over in a couple of hours and didn't really feel meaningful, just a bit sad and pathetic actually.
I'm sure that it was much more fun and risque back in the 80's when Koreans were less liberal and/or couldn't afford love hotels, but these days my wife and I seem to be going to weddings all the time but have yet to attend one where the bride isn't pregnant. So I'm sure Koreans increasingly feel the same way, and the custom will die out.
P.S. I should mention that people over 35ish are deliberately excluded from these 'receptions', which might clear up a bit of confusion! |

Sorry, but I have to rant.
These sexual games at the wedding party are so friggin retarded and childish. Their childishness and ridiculous mentalities about sex scream loudly in this.
Funny thing is, the couple usually don't want to play these games. It's the ajosshi guests who egg them on and push them into it. You know the male friends who are the younger ajosshi types- even though they aren't yet middle aged, they are perfect ajosshis in training.
I've seen brides and grooms who been made to feel extremely embarrassed and uncomfortable by being pushed into these childish games. It's almost painful to witness.
It's just so freakin' retarded! |

Westerners have similar traditions too. I mean, the groom has to pull the garter off the bride's exposed leg. Sometimes there are raunchy songs. |

sorry...this is a NOT sexy wedding story.
A coworker/friend of mine was getting married.
1) Due to a lack of communication between myself and my coworkers, I ended up giving, like 150,000W....and since my name wasn't on anything, what do I get? A kick in the balls and some nakji bokkeum that I didn't even eat.
2) I played some guitar for his ceremony (obviously something completely alien to this particular wedding parlour). I hadn't noticed but I was standing in front of the bubble and smoke machines.
As I played, the started letting out a little spritz of smoke...I smiled...it must have looked Def Leppardy
Then they turned on the bubble machine. Problem was the bubbles just floated straight up all around me. Being that my foreigner eye lashes were so long soapy bubble kept popping in my eyes and I my eyes stung like a "B". |

Holy Smokes!! Are you serious about "D"?!? The family of the bride must cringe at seeing their daughter (sister.....whatever) do a simulated blowjob in front of a few hundred people.......yikes! |

Not sure if you're talking about me, but anyway, relatives are deliberately excluded from these things. And it wasn't 200, it was just about 5 of my friends and 30 of my wife's current friends and old ones from Uni and/or high school. I think that's a fairly typical number. |
