on individual experiences of Koreans during the Korean War. not sure if such a book exists, but i'd really like to read people's individual testimonials/stories about what happened to them -- civilians, soldiers, whatever.
does anyone have any recommendations? |

One book on American marines' experiences is Breakout by Martin Russ. It's an oral history of the retreat from the Chosun Reservoir. Russ is an ex-marine and his writing reflects a lot of his affection for the Corps, but overall it paints a realistic portrait of the event in the words of those who were there. |
