ALL PARTISAN POLITICS ASIDE,
to those of you abroad: i hope you did your civic duty and voted absentee. if not, you are dead to me.
to those of you in the USA: i hope you do your civic duty and "rock" the vote. if not, you are dead to me.
and yes, i wrote "'rock' the vote". i want you to imagine me making little air quotation marks.
NOW BACK TO PARTISAN POLITICS: here's hoping we get a few more blue states! |

(see bold)
To say the least, I agree.
The sooner Republicans are de-humanized as the all-befouling curse on humanity that they are, the better.
I advocate literally wiping them out completely, but I don't expect hearty applause for that view, or any of my completely-out-there views. |

Your votes don't count anyway unless there's a tie, and it has to come closer than it did in 2000. |

Just to be a devil's advocate and state a commonly heard response:
What if none of the candidates represent me? What if neither Repub or Dem represents, and worse, no third party candidate represents me? By not voting, thousands and thousands of people are using their right to NOT participate in the elections. They show us that the two party system is failing us. Many of these people ARE politically active. They write into newspapers, they join grassroots campaigns and encourage change. They change minds on laws citizens cannot vote on during the legislative session. Even convicted felons who can't vote can make a difference through these efforts.
Simply voting on election day is important, yes, but only if enough people are doing it. To truly be active and effective, you must stay active past the elections.
I did send in an absentee ballot. |

Why can't you ever leave me alone, Boy Becky?
I'm just posting in peace.
If you want to date me, you're out of luck!
I'm currently married to the Asian Martha Stewart.
However, you are quite the hunk, and when the Asian Martha Stewart decides to throw me by the wayside, please look me up. I'm in the book.

my state has a 7,000 vote margin in favor of the democrat. man, why is virginia so ass-backwards about politics? (don't answer that.) the republican has been seen in photos with KKK member, called a man of Indian descent a "macaca"... what does it take to lose as a member of the GOP?? |

First election since '92 that I haven't voted. Since no election (anywhere, ever?) was decided on a vote, so what?
What the heck is a macaca? |
