In the U.S., with only two real choices, the Democrats are the lesser evil and are about to get control of the House.

Thank God and Mark Foley for making this happen.

Now, if they can get the Senate, which they probably won't, but might...

BUSH WILL BE A LAME DUCK AND UNABLE TO DO MUCH OF HIS EVIL WORK!

I am a bit excited by this.

Anyone want to comment?

Why is Bush evil? Here a some reasons:

Lack of concern for the poor and middle classes, preemptive war, illegal war, secret prison camps, lying to the American people and the rest of the world and creating rifts between the United States and the rest of the world.

First of all, I'm middle class and I'm doing well.

Secondly, there is nothing wrong with preemptive war. What are you supposed to do? Wait till they hit you first.

Thirdly, the war is far from illegal. Congress had their say.

Secret prison camps? I sleep better at night knowing some waterboarding is going on. We need more waterboarding.

Lying? How has he lied?

Lastly, there has always been a rift between America and the rest of the world. Why? We're the only super-power. America gets blamed for everything, but when evil crap goes down, they all clamor for our help.

Bush's big mistake is trying to fight a middle-of-the-road war. But what choice does he have? We've been fighting these type of crap wars since Korea. That's why the world's only super-power hasn't won a conflict since WWII.

The rift is at an all time high. It's always been there, for the reasons you said. But the Bush administration has really killed America's image abroad.

Actually otis, it turns out the Bush authorised the 9/11 attacks. I know! I was as surprised as you are! But you can read all about it in this thread: http://www.eslcafe.com/forums/korea/viewtopic.php?t=69657

Look. I did most of my travelling abroad when Clinton was in the White House. Nobody was exactly coming up to me and patting me on the back for being an American.

Bush screwed up in one sense. He didn't put enough people on the ground. And he didn't hit hard enough.

But he had no option. This isn't like 1945 when we were locking people in internment camps and dropping nuclear weapons.

The American people no longer have the stomach for war.

I know you're being sarcastic.

And you've hit the nail on the head.

These Bush-haters can't make up their minds. One minute he's a moron. The next, he's an evil super-genius who is murdering his own people and getting away scott free.

The truth is that he's a capable president who has had to face some harsh times in American history.

Bush isn't evil. But I don't think he is capable either. I think he is smart enough to surroud himself with smart people.

Bush is a Yale grad who had better grades than John Kerry.

He's far from stupid.

Sometimes he plays stupid. That's an old southern trick.

For instance, I have a college degree. Some of my drinking buddies know I'm educated. I don't throw my education in their face.

The south respects down to earth. They aren't into stuffed-shirts. It's just the culture.

You don't become a political player in Texas by being a stuffed-shirt Yankee.

Yale grad means nothing. He had money and daddy. Trust me, I have met more than enough people with a college degree who were as dumb as *beep*. Actually, it was usually worse, because when they get that degree, they actually then think they are smart. Nothing worse than a moron with a degree. (by the way, none of that is directed at anyone in particular).

I don't think he is dumb either. I just don't think he is a capable leader of a superpower.

What do you think people like John Kerry and Teddy Kennedy have?

It's a fixed game all over the world.

It's just less-fixed in America.

I know, and that is where we will have to agree to disagree Wink
