The French would have a field day!
Any Americans remember that TV gardener, Jerry Baker, who would pop up on local TV newscasts doing his 2-min. syndicated program saying to use a shallow tin of beer around plants to entice and capture snails and slugs?
These suckers need a pint. |

In San Diego, we imported carnivorous African snails. Toss a few of those in the garden and within a week all you were left with were empty vegetarian snail shells. I dont know what the poor Africans lived on after that. |
