No matter what people say about Michael Jackson, he is the biggest and most inspiring entertainer this world has seen. And he is scheduled to perform from his album "Thriller" at the World Music awards in London on November 15. Does anyone know where we can watch his performance on Television in Korea??? Whoo-hoo...hee-hee!!!

I reckon he was pretty good when he started to turn into a white woman too, circa the 'Bad' era. Other than the title track and 'Man in the Mirror', it's a very good album.

It'd be interesting at least to see how an MJ gig would go down these days in his present condition.

I don't know if he's still creatively viable, but a Thriller set, for kitch value, would be pretty sweet. I'd pay 20,000 won to see it, 30,000 if I was up front.

I still remember the first time I saw the 'Thriller' video as a kid. I remember where I was, who I was with and the expressions on our faces. That was one helluva cool video. Vincent Price? C'mon, it's pure gold.

Tracks like Thriller, Beat It, Billy Jean, are immortal, trancendant, incandescent RnB, the best there has ever been. Unfortunately he was never that good again himself. Take the best three tracks from the next album, Bad, The Way You Make Me Feel, and Smooth Criminal, they're awsome, but not in such an awe inspiring and triumphant way. Mike shone for that brief moment in 1982 like the heat from a thousand suns, and has been riding a slow wave downwards ever sinse, but the momentum and kudos he generated from that peak were so immense that he is still in motion, but a shadow of his former self. I don't doubt he can still dance the pants off any of these young pretenders like Usher or who ever, but the material he puts out now just doesn't hold a candle to those glory days...

But he remains, because he was one of those very rare things in pop music, a true fully fledged innovator...

I think he's probably still quite talented and could write some good new songs if he wanted, but I don't see him ever getting his old edge back. When he was young his energy level was off the scales, yet it was focussed and cool, like in the way he could walk on air and glide around like a cat. In his 20's I'd agree he was probably the greatest pop performer/dancer of our time.

And he was still cool by the time "Bad" came out, and (before all the tabloid BS and child sex scandals destroyed him) part of his appeal for his many fans was his being seen as the sort of ultimate beautiful young idol, apart from the world inhabited by all us fragile and unhygienic normal people. Before he became a joke, he actually pulled it off for years. He's always been very talented, but regarding his all-important image, it was only while he was young and glamourous that he was able to make such an impact. Since he's obviously a lot worse for wear thesedays - over 40, flabby, pasty white skin, way too much plastic surgury (face is practically falling off), and emotionally exhausted - he's no longer compatible with the old MJ. He's like a shade of his former self.

I'd still go see him for kicks, but there's no way it would be the same as in the 80's.

All I see is an middle aged pedophile with an identity disorder who uses his money and fame to buy himself out of unquestionable guilt and subsequent jail time. Whatever he was is history and overshadowed by his ugliness as a human; both physically - the guys a freak - and mentally - he is criminally insane.

I can't see myself paying his legal fees. In his position, a few free concerts are in order first to prove that he is worth money as an entertainer, beyond the tabloid cover passtime at the checkout.

I can't believe people love this guy. I passed a dvd stand in Youngsan where they were playing his live dvd. Jackson was wearing silver underwear over his pants, grabbing his crotch and squealing like a little girl. Rolling Eyes

When you get over all the plastic surgery, tabloid rumors, silver underwear, crotch grabbing, and alleged molestation charges, you have a singer and dancer who can entertain and draw millions.

Don't judge a book by its cover. He's been through a lot, and who are you to judge someone else???

His song and dance create an excitement thats hard to contain. There is magic in listenin to Jackson's grooves and his interaction with the crowd while dancing is magical and breathtaking. If you haven't been inspired by Michael Jackson and only judge him from the outside, you are missing his most important quality of entertaining and bringing joy to millions.

All I'm saying is that on Nov. 15, he is coming out of his shell, and is bringing the joyous feelings of his heydays back into the present. Michael Jackson is going to moonwalk back into superstardom. I don't doubt it.

Maybe, but why does he have to grab his crotch every 15 seconds?
