I'm sure that very few people in the U.S. have not watched "60 Minutes" and do not know of Ed Bradley....he was a great reporter.

Yes, what a great voice. It will be missed, that baratone. Strong, calm, steadfast, persistent -- as a journalist's must be.

He's done a lot of good and I just wish there would be more journalist's of his sort, communicating much more (than at present) to the American people. Too many paper cut outs, soft news programs. So much dirt out there but nobody sweeping up...........seems we prefer our Oprahs and Ellie's , we like our food rather plain.

They sure don't make 'em like they used to, and Ed was one of the best.

This is a shame. I really liked the warm approach he had to relating to his interviewees. He was smooth asking the hard questions without making the interviewee uncomfortable. I hope they can find a replacement at least half as good as he.

I thought he was especially good at interviewing celebrities. Too bad about his leukemia.

May he rest in peace.

He had no kids? That's too bad.

He was one cool dude, personable, , disarming, professional, smart as hell. Loved his voice. There aren't enough tough investigative journalists these days. He concerned himself more with the truth than his career. Like a poster said, news these days had been dumbed down.

He's a legend.

Nope. He passed away a few months ago, I believe.

I know you're joshing, but it is pretty weird that the Wikipedia entry has no mention of his demise.

Maybe he's chilling in Cuba with Tupac and Farrakhan.
