I work at a hagwan in Masan and my school just took me to the Immigration office to register. The immigration office took my passport and they said I would get it back on the 17th with my Immigration stamp. Is this normal?
I did make a copy of mypassport page and visa page and I have a copy of my passport page back home in America.
I was just wondering if I should worry.
Thanks |

You should have gotten a receipt for your passport.
(If you are stopped and asked for ID, I don't know if a photocopy will be useful -- anyone with experiences?) |

yup... if he is stopped and asked, simply tell the immi officer that your passport is in the immi office getting your ARC., They make a quick call to confirm and send you on your way.
No worries. You will have it as well as your ARC on the date indicated. |
