I went to Seoul for the first time today and saw the old man park. It's pretty much a crap-load of old men hanging out in a park.

Have you ever been there? If so, what did you think?

Also, why don't single old women don't hang out there? It would seem like the perfect place to pick up someone.

I am personally offended by wrinkled old retired people gathering in public, playing Go/Stop and chatting with their friends. If they had any dignity at all, they'd just stay home and die as soon as possible. I know that's what I plan to do.

Back in the day it was a good place to go to get the evil eye.

There's a soup kitchen kind of thing and lots of people to hang out with so that's why they're there.

I think the oldies getting hammered and singing is brilliant... going out, being drunk annoying bastards rather than withering away in a home sounds like a better way to do it... n'est pas?

That's because they're all hanging out a Hoehyeon Station. I've never been there when there hasn't been a gaggle of them.

Not to be a pedant or anything, but shouldn't it be the 'Old-Man Park'? Writing 'Old Man Park' makes me think of some old dude with the patronym 'Park'. And he's kinda scary looking. Like that creepy old man from the Poltergeist films.
