Yeah, it was a great day in the history of America.

Al Queida and Iran claimed it as a victory.

Al Queida said they appreciated the vote, but it wouldn't stop them from torching the White House.

One of these days, we'll wake up and realize we have an enemy. Unfortunately, it'll probably take a dirty bomb.

By the way, I'm far from a conservative.

I'm just smart enough to know that when someone kicks sand in my face, it's my duty to put a fist in their eye.

I can reason with them after they are spitting up blood.

Otis,

I don't know if you noticed, but Al Queda and Iran claim a victory every time the sun rises. It doesn't take much.

Any American, except the most blind, zombie-like ultra conservatives can see that Rumsfeld is an immoral, agenda-driven, power-hungry ogre without a conscience or a care for the sanctity of human life. The United States of America is a far better place with just about anyone else but him pulling the strings. There are very few people in the world who really frighten me, but after watching him lie, justify, and casually talk about civilian deaths over the last several years, I would say it is a good day.

The public did do exactly that.

Then they voted against them.

Hopefully one day Charles Atlas can make you a new man.

I know what you're trying to imply, Rummy was "tough on terror" and whoever replaces him must inevitably be not as good at being "tough on terror". But the plain fact of the matter is that Rummy was not very effective in being tough on terror. He never got Osama, and there are probably more Islamic extremists ready to die while attacking the US than there were before he arrived. How is that tough on terror? He failed badly. I doubt terrorists are celebrating. They are probably quite worried that the new guy might be more competant and more dangerous to them. Almost anyone would be better for the job.

Back in the 70s when I used to cruise gay bars with Rummy, the guy was really into the chicken.

I doubt history would esteem him so highly.
