So I'm pretty sure I won't stay in my job for the full year, so would I still be able to collect my pension if I leave before 12 months>?

Also if I get another job in Korea, and get a new visa.... would I then later have to collect 2 different pensions?

Also... for the 12 month bonus... does that mean you have to be with the same employer for 12 months... what if I work for 12 months but with 2 different employers. Is the bonus paid by the goernment or is it paid by the school??

thanks!

Pension comes from the government. You collect it when you leave the country and return home. If your employer did NOT pay into it, then you will NOT receive it when you return home.

Severance (what you refer to as the bonus) is paid by the employer.
Under the labor standards act (article 34) governs severance.
=============================================
Article 34 (Severance Pay System)
(1) An employer shall establish a severance pay system whereby
an average wage of more than 30 days shall be paid for each
year of consecutive years employed as a severance pay to a
retired worker; however, if the worker was employed for less
than one year, this shall not apply.
