Is there any point? Will I be able to get good used games in the correct format in South Korea? I'm not sure if I want to drop 700$cdn on a PS3 in Korea incase I only stay for a year. |

MOD or swap disc it in Korea and you can easily buy games. |

Very easy, especially if you live in Seoul or Busan or one of the other bigger cities, and know how to get to an electronics market or an area(game shop) that specializes in doing the mods. Cost me fifty at a shop near Seo-myeon here in Busan. You can also order the parts on-line and do it yourself if you know what you're doing. |

Really? Just walk into a game shop and have my PS2 Modded up? I like it, sounds like it might be worth sending over unless I go nuts and buy a PS3. Thanks for the info. |

I had a PS2 modded in China - cost me 100 yuan ( about 12 US Dollars) and now plays all the games. Homebrewed and the games sold in China for 5 rmb.
A new PS2 in China cost about 1200 rmb for the brand new modded PS2 slimline. |
