Dear all,

just wondering how long a British citizen gets in the USA as a tourist. Is it 2 months?

Life, depending on what's in your carry-on bag.

Typically 90 days with a tourist waiver stamp but there are some notable exceptions.

http://www.timaticweb.com/cgi-bin/tim_website_client.cgi?SpecData=1&HEALTH=1&VISA=1&page=health&NA=GB&AR=00&EM=KR&PASSTYPES=PASS&DE=US&selDest=U.S.A.&selTrans=Use+ctrl-key+to+select+or+deselect+transit+point%28s%29+above&selVisi=Use+ctrl-key+to+select+or+deselect+visited+countries+above&Submit=Submit&user=NWB2C&subuser=NWB2C

With a visa it can be for as long as the passport remains valid (again with some noteable exceptions).
