Does it really take over an hour to get from Sunae to City Hall, or somewhere else in downtown Seoul (from the Bundang line) ? I know there are like 20 stops, but this seems crazy. Are the distances between each stop really that long? Maybe I am comparing this to the NYC subway, which might have shorter distances between stops. Also, I am not in South Korea yet - so maybe the website I used to get the travel times is wrong. |

Ya, it would take an hour by subway (takes a rather circuitous route and several line changes with the resultant waits between trains) but you can catch the 9401 bus and be there in 30 minutes. |

Walk to Samsung Plaza and get on the 9000 or 9001. It hits the highway immediately and if traffic isn't snarled at the Hannam Bridge you can get to Itaewon, Myeong-dong, City Hall, Jong-ro in under 40 minutes.
The bus stop is across the street from Outback. |

Might (and by might I mean probably will) have to stand, though. |

Standing or getting a seat depends on what time you get the bus at - 7:30 am, guaranteed to stand up. 10am throughto about 4pm, sit for sure.
Some of the routes you can catch before Samsung, they go through Jeongja and up the main road to Sunae (5500-1 for sure, but I can't remember the others....any that say "Gwanghwamun" on them).
I've gone from Seohyun to Itaewon in 15 minutes, another 5 onto City Hall, during non-peak times. |

| During labor negotiations, the subway train drivers threaten to SLOW DOWN TO the speed limit. Normally, they drive faster. |
